Flute, Coorparoo
It was last weekend…
T and I had planned for a shopping weekend and we initially didn’t know where to ‘charge our batteries’ before walking around all day. But I somehow thought of this place, Flute, at Coorparoo which we hadn’t tried before. So we’d decided to make a stopover before heading to our usual shopping joint in Carindale.
Flute was indeed a surprise. With barely any table left by noon, we were lucky enough to had grabbed one of the last few tables available. But unfortunately I had actually forgotten to take photos of the place. Careless me. I must say it’s like a hidden treasure in the Coorparoo suburb.
But nonetheless, food there was a great discovery. It’s really tasty with generous portion. Service was not too bad, they were attentive and made sure everyone was well attended to.
T’s cappuccino. Came with two small pieces of chocolate as sweetener.
Ma latte. Hmm, they used Segafredo coffee beans and though it’s not the best I’d tasted but it did the job. Bit disappointed with the fact that it didn’t have latte art on it though it had a large surface which probably could allow the barista to demonstrate some latte art skills.
T ordered the rib eye fillet. My gosh, the portion was huge. Look at the amount of mushrooms they gave…almost couldn’t see the fillet. But it tasted absolutely heavenly. And very filling too, of course.
And this was my choice. Pasta with raw eggs, mushrooms (LOADS OF THEM) and truffle oil. It’s SUPER YUMS!
Flute is highly recommended. I hope they change their menu occasionally (‘cos the menu, to be honest, wasn’t extensive) so that I could return for more. I’ll also try their mocktails and smoothies next time. They seemed to be more popular than their coffee.
